Cr-410 ii

Guy through in the unit when I bought a couple of Sansui units. Here's the details.

Fires up just fine. De-ox'd all the pots and whatever I thought needed it. I have no left side sound at all. No meter movement either on the left side. Does not matter what I use for the input..ie AUX, tape whatever. I cleaned the heck out of the balance pot. Both speaker channels and head-phones same deal....NO left side sound.

Will download the service manual once I find it but thought I would listen to what some of you might have to say.

Right now testing the DC at the speaker outs:

Speaker A Speaker B
Left Right Left Right

Sorry I didn't see what forum it was in 'til after I replied.
I am sure Yamaha printed a service manual; it just hasn't migrated into free-space.

The CA-510 (ex-US) was very similar if not identical, FWIW.

EDIT: These guys have it for about fourteen bucks -- no idea how reputable they are, though.

Ditto this one: http://elektrotanya.com/yamaha_ca-510_sm.pdf/download.html
If your AV and malware s/w are all up to date, click the button if you dare...

EDIT^2: hifiengine's got it -- them, I trust...

thanks

yeah I bellied up and paid the $14.00. Now I'm confused with voltage at TP1 and TP3 - TP4 and TP2.

For the record..... I messed up my Pioneer when my alligator insulator slid off and exposed the clip when I tried to pull it off. yeah it was a serious crime and I got some deserved lip. I have since purchased a complete kit with mini's, alligators and other assorted probes. I'm hoping to not duplicate my previous actions.

Figure this is a great unit for me to learn some things on. Anyway, I know it's not the most desired unit...LOL
