There's a fairly comprehensive list of vintage era receivers having 100 to 130 watts per channel.
Dates of model introduction range from 1974 (the 'model' year for the first 100 wpc receivers) through the 1981 model years.

I know there are many excellent 75-90 wpc receivers, but they don't meet the list criteria.
Any model(s) I have missed?

Enjoy,
pete

Hi Bully, Since you have a couple of other early digital tuner receivers listed you could add the Pioneer SX-D7000. It was made around the same time as the SX-3900 and it appears to use the same power amp section as the 3900. It is also rated 120 watts per channel.

Well while we are on the subject,
Audiograph 2A100, based on the outputs it is at least 100wpc, dates of production and price are a mystery.
GTE 2600, this unit is also likely 100wpc+ though I can't find its exact specs, I think the bluebook has it's original cost at $600

Bully, the Fisher RS-2010 was rated at 100 WPC and dates from 1978 to 1981.

Added a couple. The Audiograph, though, is a mystery. At least we have it mentioned in the thread. Perhaps someone else will chime in with some info. I know you have searched high and low.

Sherwood S 9910 ... YEAH BABY !! Love that receiver !! Very smooth, easy to listen to. Can also shake the walls if need be. Very well built and handsome too.

Just a sweety.

The Realistic STA-2600 put out 100 watts per channel. Superb FM section, especially after mods. Great list! :thmbsp:

Thanks, Danamc, but my Orion guide says the STA-2600 is from 1987, a bit outside the scope of the list. Probably a swell receiver, though.

Bully -
Great listing which will now become part of my permanent reference file.
How about the Sony STR-V7, 150 wpc, 995.00, 78-83?
Thanks for the research.

Thanks, Bill. The STR-V7 is listed in another list of VERY large receivers. It is one of the fabulous "160-watters" that I love.

Bully - Thanks, I should have read the parameters more closely, but now I have both lists for my files. Thanks again for the research!

If you show me yours I'll show you mine.

How about some pic's?!? Let's show off what these wonderful machines look like.
