nice looking gear. what is the model number of that amp and when what year was it built? got any pics of the inside of it?

Nice Denon equipment. I've always found Denon stuff to be top notch, and yet they seem to get little attention on here.

Is that tape deck design unique? I have never seen one like that. Looks very cool.

In my living a 1978/79 (in my opinion Denon's heigh days) PMA-501 does a great job. It's a 13 kg heavy and beautifully built power pack, although it has officially just 50W p/c at 8 Ohm, but destroys many amps that boast with a lot more Watts. I love the sound of it. It has a certain amount of tube warmth and also great detailing and space in its sound and controls the speakers with a firm hand.

In my study a PMA-560 has done a great job for a long time, but now it has become jobless because I bought one of my all and old time favorites: the Luxman L-505V. The PMA 560 is also a great amp but can't completely match with the pure quality build and specs of the 501.

been playing with one of these lately....Denon Pro DN-C640,got "upgraded" from the 620 after having some issues with it...it's built like a tank for pro use and as you can see, also a veritable swiss army knife of a digital player...jury is still out as to whether i really like it or not

I picked up this Denon PRA-2000Z a few months ago, amazing sounding phonostage 2mc,1mm.One MC input uses built in transformers, the other MC uses a headamp.

Wow! That PRA-2000Z is a beauty. I've just got a PMA-560 and I've been pleasantly surprised (especially since I got it for free.)

Indeed, this one looks great. Hope the sound is on the sam level. But why did you block the view of your cartridge?
