For all the CEA, I used Nichicon UPW's. CEANL I used either Nichicon UKL or Panasonic ECQ, depending on µf size and room for replacement part. The large axial caps were replaced with TVX.

I also replaced Transistors in mine and reflowed all the solder joints.

Could not be happier with results.

I have a RT-909 stored...Agree on this...For this Deck....I would also follow Mark's Pioneer Cap replacements.

"CEA, Nichicon UPW's. CEANL use either Nichicon UKL or Panasonic ECQ, depending on µf size and room for replacement part. The large axial caps you can replace with Nichicon TVX"

I also use for Axial...Vishay / BC Components

For me on this deck...It's all about having Very Low noise. The use of Audio Grade not knowing the circuit path may cancel out the Benefits.
 
The CEANL caps need to be low leakage and the electrolytic identified by the manufacturer as low leakage is the Nichicon UKL.

Film caps have very low leakage because they are a different type of cap and that is why the ECQ is mentioned as an option. Check the size of the location and the ECQ cap of the proper value to see if it will fit. It is an upgrade, but film caps get big fast so most look at about 4µF being the largest they might replace with an ECQ.

Ok chaps here the markII version, i hope i have taken your tips on board. I could only find one axial cap which is C223 on the B control all the rest look to be radial.

Peeps seem to do a bit of work on the H bridge, swopping out diodes, transistors and voltage regulators? Any lists or advice here please so i can add to the BOM?

As well as changing the lytic caps on this deck, are there any diodes, transistors, trimmers I should replace whilst the deck is in bits?

I have read through the various threads and spotted people changing the four H bridge transistors Q210 to 213 682D for which I think I have found a matching replacement.

Any recommendations?

Hi Mike I did the work and all was good, it was a big job but I feel happier doing it. Good luck, take your time and be methodical. I found Mouser to be great delivery to Europe.

Thank you @Wogga for making this list! One question I have: what do you guys do when the actual cap on the board doesn't match what's in the service manual's diagram/list? For example, C510 on the Control A Assy is specified as 100uF/10V but on the board I found 470uF/6.3V. OK, the voltage is not the problem, but the actual capacitance is not even close (it's almost 5x). Do you replace with the value specified on the diagram or what's on the board?

Also, I found discrepancies between the service manual schematic and the actual board. Control B assy has a transistor that's missing from the service manual. Most of the stuff matches but there's a "black swan" here and there. Did you find the same with your RT909s?
