Pioneer FT-V70 AM/FM/TV tuner find & questions

This sat untouched for a week at the local thrift but its companion Dolby B/C/dbx tape deck was quickly snapped up by a tapehad. For $5 I decided to take a chance on black 80s era Pioneer tech so no big loss if it was a turd. It was heavy for what I guessed was an upscale rack system. Its definitely part of a Pioneer AV system. Its has composite video out with stereo TV decoding - analog only of course. It even has an RF modulator out for TVs w/o comp in. The TV tuning seems a bit weird using the FM style presets & up/down functions. Seems more sensitive than my Pioneer F90 but the F90 might need alignment.

My question is whether the V70 had more controls on the system remote. The tuner doesn't have any controls for mono/muting/wide-narrow and a tuner with decent heft and construction screams for more than preset and tuning buttons.
