K-Horn veneer help

Hello I have a pair of 1979 K-horns. I would like to repair damaged edge banding. Has anyone had any luck finding correct shade of Walnut. Every thing that I have found is much to dark.

The issue with Walnut is that it lightens over time. New Walnut will be much darker, as you've discovered.

For the banding, maybe use Birch or Ash. You'll then need to find a stain to match the aged walnut. Since you're only doing the banding, it is not necessary to match the color exactly.

Or try using a wood bleaching agent on the walnut.
