2SB566 transistor substitute in Yamaha A-1 and C-4

I did not find anything about this transistor which is used in the voltage regulation circuit of the A-1 integrated Amplifier and the C-4 preamplifier.
Which modern transistor is a good substitute? Thanks for any reply.

I have an A-1 that someone replaced the 2SB566 with a 2SB595, which seems like a close but wrong choice.

Onsemi TIP32C is in stock: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/micro-commercial-co/TIP32C-BP/1306207
or: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...nts-MCC/TIP32C-BP?qs=SdqRYZZ9IxAOqrEwvt88KA==

Should I replace the 2SD476 with a TIP31C too? Or does it not matter for this function in the power supply that they are matched?

As far as 2sb566 is concerned, 2sb595 is a darn good match, see below

2sb595 is somewhat tougher but not overkill … forward current gains are pretty similar too, personally, I wouldn’t worry about it.

As for 2sd476, from the photo it looks fine but electrically, yes, you could replace it with a tip31c. Tip31c is also a pretty close match.
