Differences between the PL-51 and PL-71 TT?

Hello everyone, newbie here. I've been lurking around and have settled on trying to obtain either the Pioneer PL-51 or PL-71 based on what I've been reading. I've already purchased a SX-737 receiver and want to keep it in the "same family".

I'm curious to know if there are any huge differences between the PL-51 and PL-71 that make the PL-71 THAT much better and expensive. If I go the PL-51 route, I'll most likely be saving a few hundred dollars based on what I've seen around the web. Any help would be great! :thmbsp:

PL-51 has vinyl veneer, vs real wood veneer on the PL-71. I need to break out my 51 for a spin. Don't remember if my 71 had Quartz lock, but 51 doesn't.

Both are DC SERVO. Effective length on the Tonearm is different as is the overhang.
