On the river.....

These were taken with my Olympus E300, I bought it 2004 and was my 1st DSLR. Even though it only has an 8mp sensor, it is one made by Kodak that really captures colors nicely.
Some of the shots were taken with the 14-45mm kit lens and some with a Sigma 55-200mm lens, that works really well with the E300. Even though this camera is 8 years old, I still like to use it every once and a while.
These shots were taken on the Maury River at Goshen Pass in Va, about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks John! This is one of my favorite areas to go to around here. A lot of photo ops there.

Thank you. It's so funny how none of my co-workers know anything about fancy cameras (D/SLR types). So when I showed them this photo of their dog, they didn't realize that how good the photo would turn out compared to their cellphone pics of the same puppy. I told them that I'd copy the photo over to one of their flash cards. The guy was indifferent about his g/f's puppy, but after he saw the photo, he realized how cute the dog was, he said he'd give more attention to it.

I decided not to give them the photo if they didn't bother getting me a flash card (they never did). Sorry, I don't do things for people who mistreat or in this case "neglect" pets. You should show adoration to your pets, or even tolerate them if they are your spouse's or gf/bf.

Eclipse

I took this picture about a year ago during an eclipse. I had been taking pictures earlier in the day, but this one right at the end turned out to be the most interesting.
