Another c-4 in the house

You have been busy :thmbsp:.

While researching the C-4 since I am about to do the same, I came across some other parts that should be changed.

All VD1212 varistors and 2SC458 transistors.

Just need to figure how many and where these are at which I hope to do when I recap mine.

BTW it looks like you got your M-4 from the same guy I got my C-4.

Oh No. Do I have to go back in and change them now?

Hook up some headphones .If it sounds OK don't sweat it.If your not a headphone guy-don't sweat it. But..If you are and its noisy--yep..:smoke:

Wow you guys are making me eager to send my C4 to avionic. That is on hold due to lack of funds right now, but something I want to do ASAP!

Has anyone ever paired a C4 with a tube power amp? If so, what did you think of that combo?

Well, at the moment I have my C-4 temporarily paired with an Aiwa P50. :screwy:
It's not a bad combo. Seems the C-4 tamed the P50 of some harshness a bit. But an Aiwa P50 still ain't no M-4.:D

I own C-4 preamp that has some distortion in mid-high to high tone range and with higher input volume levels. Seems like a speaker rattle but it is the preamp.

Would recpa save this machine?

Maybe..Probably needs a good deoxit treatment..
