Vastly overpriced?

*rare* NAD 5125 at $340. Looks like a typical plastic mid-80s table.

NAD 20 speakers at $380

These came from a whole system that was advertised recently for $250 (which included a low end NAD amp and cassette) then reposted by a local flipper. Notorious for posting stuff at a certain price then reposting the next day for more!

The speakers are worth around $90 to $120.

I figured they would be worth about that much as generic 8" 2-ways.

Typical Kijiji story

bought one day then, flipped double price the next day....

Happens alllllllll the time back here.

In this case I could have bought the whole thing for the original $250 price but I turned it down as I thought it was barely worth that. It's 80s BPC despite the NAD name on it. For $340 I can buy a nice Thorens locally.... and that's what he wants for the plastic NAD TT. I'm just sad that someone might get taken because it says NAD on it and its *RARE*!

I can't stand it when sellers do that. It's unfair and speaks greatly about the seller.

They're not "generic," they were made under license from ADS with ADS/Braun drivers and are excellent. I just happen to have owned a pair and it took a while to sell them for around $100 IIRC.

Really! So they should be decent quality then, even if not worth $380. I was expecting more like Technics-rack-system quality.

Surprisgnly, I thought they look like ADS drivers.

About Kij......

I cycle my ads so they stay on top...

Nothing unfair about that.. just time consuming..,

And it works...
