2010 Early Television Convention!

The 2010 Early Television Convention will be held on Friday, April 23, Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25 at the Early Television Museum in Hilliard, Ohio U.S.A.. The buffet lunch, presentations, and banquet will be at the Makoy Center, a conference facility about 2 blocks from the museum.

There will be live and silent auctions of vintage receivers, parts, and other historic materials.

In addition to new acquisitions for the Museum, special convention displays will include: A "no-wheel" CBS tri-color CRT set, and a "Butterfield" color TV camera.

Once again, there will be live video coverage of the presentations on the internet.

On display at this year's convention:


Scheduled presentations this year include:

History of home videotape from 1956 to 1976.

 Selecting color filters from modern materials for restorations or re-creations of color wheel receivers.

 A discussion of efforts to rebuild examples of the first mass-produced color TV picture tube, the 15GP22

 A re-examination of John Logie Baird's 30-line mechanical TV system from 1926

 The RCA TJ-48 Mobile Production Van
