Yamaha NS-690 Crossover upgrade opinions

Mystery

constantly upgrading...
I finally brought these back from the basement and realized they sound quite nice.
Specially with jazz and flute, the midrange feels like real instrument.

These are the original version with tri-amp connections on the back.
So thinking about upgrading capacitors.
How complex is the crossover and what are the improvements?
Thanks

I don't *think* (but aren't sure) that the crossovers changed from version to version. But I do have some 690 II crossovers out of the cabinet that I could examine if that helps you.

If I recall, it may require a bit of disassembly to access all the caps, so not as straightforward as some speakers, but definitely doable.

I haven't recapped mine, but bought some extra crossovers in case I wanted to have a stock pair and a recapped pair, but haven't made the time to do this so far.
