advents

I'm listening to a Pair of Advent/9's now.. they sound pretty good, I wish the seller had done a better job on the surrounds.. that is a pretty bad glue job as previously mentioned.

they are probably worth that price.. but I'd hit them w/ a lower offer (maybe $50) looking for $60. that way u could use the $20 off to redo the surrounds :scratch2:
 
Ugly work on refoam. I'd pass and wait for something else to pop up. After Christmas might be more to choose from.

I would say that was someone's first attempt at doing a refoam with their toes. The last two "first time" refoams I've seen were way better.
 
you can do better. way better. especially in SF. patience. they have been sitting for 8 days for good reason.

These are nothing special at all. Not a collectible model.
I pass on all speakers that don't have real veneer. No matter of price & sound.
Also I pass on all black paint speakers too.
 
Thanks for all the input, I'm going to pass on them, no sense throwing good money at bad speakers, and that one one the left doesn't look centered.
I could live with a bad glue job but doesn't seem worth the drive to be disappointed.
