MPX-77 question

Simple one. Did these originally have shields over the tubes, or no? Bases don't take the twist-lock shields or have the tabs to stick up onto a slip-on shield but I have seen stranger things.

I have not seen an MPX-77, but I would say not -- at least from a requirement standpoint. The tubes are not operating at sensitive audio levels, nor are they operating at a high enough frequency to really need any shields. Are these just an extension of the MPX60/65 units?

Don't know for sure, but the picture of the MPX-65 that came up looks just like the MPX-77 I have in front of me. Its in a 290-T chassis out of a Philharmonic if that matters at all.

I'm hoping for a "no", since i don't have the shields and don't know if I've got extras laying around to stuff in here.
