Still waiting for a tuner :boring:

If you just move to NA will be able to hook you up with a nice TX-1000 that would be a great match to your gear. ;)

I'm definitely a Yamaha fan. Here are some of my bits:
NS-300X Speakers
A-520 Amplifier
K-540 Cassette Player
YP-800 Turntable
T-80 Tuner
T-7 Tuner
R-500 Receiver
CR-200E Receiver
CR-1020 Receiver (eBay purchase...yet to arrive)
RX-V365 A/V Receiver

The CA-710 and CR-2040 I no longer have :(

quick pic of my modest system .as you can see the heart of any system is a Yamaha !ca1010.rediscovering her after years of nonuse.welcome back baby!

I purchased this lovely CA-810 from 39cross. He restored and recapped. I have since replaced the scratched volume knob with a new one, pulled the blue lense out of the meter lights to get the amber look, and updated the power cord.

My future plan is to replace the speaker connectors with 5-way binding posts and redo the cabinet in a birch veneer.

I have another CA-810 with a few minor issues that I am trying to fix up right now.

There is my new tuner, the Yamaha T-7.
But it needs some work. The battery has leaked, and someone bypassed the power button.
Otherwise it sounds great!

Just got a Yamaha RX-V496..hooked to a pair of KLH and AIWA ...Loving the the receiver..

My Setup.. I use google play from android and I chrome-cast Audio to my TV and from there through Optical out , I have connected to the Receiver.. Now i have my collection from cloud chrome-casting and the clarity is CRYSTAL CLEAR :)

Regards,
Srikanth

Just got a TX-900 tuner for $20 ! I felt like it was totally worth the risk, knowing the tuner has a good reputation...replaced T-80 which was starting to cut out on one channel...(also bought 5 years ago on EBay...

The TX-900 is the best tuner I have ever heard (brother had a T-85 but no good antenna) ... vocals are liquid, bass is steady and present...stereo stage is much better, sensitivity excellent, and nice detail...no harshness.. and I do like the 3 bandwidth settings...I am feeding it with outdoor-mounted Winegard 6065P which is 7 years old ...did re-wire coax which seemed to help..I only wish I could use a remote..

Does anyone know where I can pickup a remote control ribbon cable ? Would hope to connect a CX-600...Yamaha no longer makes it.. :(

Thanks fellow Yamaha users,

Yamaha Fan

Love both of my Yamaha systems. I'm really not sure how someone couldn't love the sound out of these things.

Currently:Although my service guy BROKE the tip of my POWER LIGHT!!! And cannot seem to find me a replacement (I cannot believe that it is impossible to find, it's a light bulb right?)....not happy:tears:.
CA-810 (Are you sure this is only 65ish wpc??)
CT-810
Pioneer PL-50
Ohm 4XO
Jensen LS6

Home Theater Setup
RX-V870
Klipsch 6 speaker surround with 12" Klipsch Sub...feel it in your chest

Yep, every time I think I have found something that "must be better" it doesn't even hang in the same ballpark with Yamaha. I admit that I haven't tried the multi-thousand dollar setups, but if we're talking about real world stuff I find Yamaha to be far superior to most everything out there.

Very nice CT-810 (I looked it up on Google images). I'm saving for a Yamaha A S501 amp and Yamaha CD N301. I looked at other brands like Marantz and the Yamies sound like the best choice especially for the price. I can't wait:banana:. It'll be nice to have silver ones too.

I think the thing that has sold me on Yamaha stuff, is that every time I have the opportunity to hear something sufficiently "high end" it sounds a lot more Yamaha-like than most of the other affordable gear I've heard from Marantz, Pioneer, Denon, etc. I feel like the closer you can get to your sound being definied purely by the speakers and less by the amplifier, the better off you are.
