Troubleshooting: CR-2020 clicking on/off

I was so excited to find a CR2020 locally. But after 3 months it's starting to click on and off during normal use. I assume this is the protection circuit:scratch2:. Where should I start to look? I'm interested in learning a bit more about electronics repair, but I'm no expert.

Do you know how to check the DC offset? Pretty good chance you just have a couple dried up electrolytic caps in the protection circuit. But first we need to verify that its the protect circuit misbehaving. Check your DC offset. If theres no significant DC voltage at the amplifiers outputs. Then its most likely "as stated above"..
