Let's face facts...there isn't one single person here who just has one piece of audio equipment, such as an iPod with a simple set of earbuds. Every one of us thoroughly enjoy the art of music, that is why we are searching for Audio-Karma! As Chief Inspector Dreyfus said "Every day, and in every way, I'm getting better, and better!", or at the very least, so goes my Audio System, getting better, and better!

I might have been to general and consolidated some gear...

3x complete 5.1 surround systems built in speakers
Built in speakers in kitchen and bathroom
Car system - 6 speakers, 4 ch amp, sub amp and 12" sub
Spare Onkyo stereo receiver that I can't get rid of
HK Citation
Fisher 400C
Kenwood KD-5033 TT
Realistic Nova 8B's
spare set of 5 polk satellite speakers
807 ultralinear monoblock amp
unknown brand vintage speaker I use in the lab for testing
some left over ceiling speakers (about 5 of them I think)

I'm a bit limited on space... Unless I find something REALLY worth it, I usually pass.

I've been purging lately and continue to do so, but this barely scratches the surface.

Just had a look around the room I am sat in and counted 26 including 4 pairs of speakers but not the little active computer speakers. There's lots more piled about upstairs and even in some of the kitchen cupboards. Found an Eagle amp the other day in there, forgot I had it.

I have a rule now if I buy something I have to sell something else so the problem's not gone away but it has stabilised. Glad to see plenty of you here who have it much worse than I do ;)

I don't see myself needing more than 10, spread across two systems.

I'm involved in too many hobbies to collect much in any one.

If I didn't have two 7 channel home theatre amps I guess you could say i would either have 5 more stereo amps or 12 more mono amps. I gave my DAT away and all my reel to reels and mixers and noise reduction equipment are in storage so that means, 10 more pieces. that make for a total of 52. But I'm happy that 30 our working almost every day when I'm home, with 10 in storage. 2 D-150A's , Ag 500-2 , Revox B-77 HS, A-77 Dolby, Ampex F-4460, MX-35, 157 DBX , 2 Ampex Monitor speakers. When we travel in the RV there are another 10 pieces.

The poll is still open, so I'll answer.

Let's see here.
Fourteen speakers (two 7 channel systems)
Two subwoofers
Five speakers in reserve (four for Atmos)
Five speakers in deep reserve (from an old HTIB set)
One subwoofer in reserve (from the same HTIB set)
Five receivers (three stereo, two surround)
Two CD players
One turntable
One dynamic range expander
One tape player
Two Blu-Ray players
One subharmonic synthesizer
Three DACs/soundcards (one is a DAC, the other two are soundcards)
Three sets of computer speakers

That makes 34 pieces between my speakers and equipment. (It would be more if I separated the computer speakers.) It's a fun hobby and I love it!

MmmmhahahahaA!

My shit's spread across 3 states!

I am not a mad scientist for nothing!

No, I do not hoard. It's all for sale, and I've sold truckloads!
