Just a minute ago I turned my 500-B on to do some casual listening. As the tubes warmed up it began emitting very high pitched squealing. It does not seem to be going through speakers and I can't identify where it is coming from, it just seems to be everywhere. It's not terribly loud but it is very unpleasing. I'd say it is somewhere around 5kHz. Tried switching the power tubes, nothing changed.
Apart from this terrible noise it is working normally.
Why is that happening?
