220-t

OK all you Fisher guys....I took this 220-T on a trade and I'm impressed. Walks all over my monster Onkyo TX-7000. I guess lots of power doesn't mean better. I'm thinking a daily driver for this one. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

A nice receiver. Really fine tuner section to boot. Very well made. In the USA at that.
Yes. The tuner was the first thing I noticed. Much more sensitive and selective than anything else I've had.
All of out gear looks like that at one time or another (mainly right after getting it). That 220-T is a decent unit. 55W total IHF rating, which would equate to about 20 WPC RMS.

Here's a link to a Brochure FISHER put out that has the 220-T in it.

Great stuff. Thanks for the link. Now I need to find a cabinet.

Dad had one when he updated to stereo in 1967. Had it paired with a Dual 1019 with Pickering cartridge, a pair of JBL D131's in a Barzilay cabnet. Sounded very nice as I recall and stimulated my interest in Hi Fedelity and audio.
