I scored a non working KA-80 this week. After close examination I noticed that several resistors on the output stage had been removed 
, and the power amplifier had been re-soldered at some point. Replacing the resistors got the amps left channel working, but with awful distortion. I opened it up again and managed to find several cold solder joints on the left channel power amplifier section, re-soldered these, set the offset, bias and voila! The sound is incredible, the cosmetic condition, not so much... it had overheated at some point and slightly deformed the inner panel around the balance knob, but the flip down cover covers that up most of the time. The bigger issue is i need to find/remake the tape monitor button, which has shattered. Where should i look? does anyone have a parts amp with the same style light pipe button? (I'm switching the lamps to LED's soon as well, and the KA-60 is getting a different color for its power button)
