From yesterday's flea show, an early Kenwood tube model, the KW-100-T. Up top, pretty ratty, but inside, nice and clean.
Except for this mess of mystery onion skin/foil disaster-- oh right, must be. . . yuck, capacitor guts.
And underneath that, a completely disintegrated resistor and an imploded filter can. All replaced now and listening to a very nice sounding little tuner. Great separation, quiet-- Just needs a touch of janitorial work topside.
The facade is rather pleasing also: half brushed aluminum, half glassy finish beige paint. Very suave.
