Show us your Sherwoods!

This seems like a good place to post a gratuitous photo of my best acquisition at the NEARC fleamarket last week - an S-3000 V for $25. Seems to be in good working order - sounds good mono and stereo. Not great cosmetically, but not terrible, either - seems like 25 smackers' worth of tuner to me, no problem.

My first onboard-stereo Sherwood vacuum tube tuner :)

Nice snag! It seems that the later units started to use those little plaques rather than embossing the lettering under the enamel.

yup - the cosmetics of the "V" are more like the early ss units from Sherwood... some of the early posts to this thread illustrate well the cosmetic "evolution" of the vintage Sherwoods.

From post #7 in this thread...

Hey I picked up a Sherwood S-41 CP cant find much on it online. Anybody can give me a date on it would be appreciated and how Sherwood's SS stuff was (it seems there are fan's of their tubes) Plan is to marry it to a Sony TS-3200f amp when the rest of that system comes together.
