Question about CD player use for tube dac 11

i have a pretty good DAC in my Marantz SACD player but want that tube sound quality and the ability to find the right tube.

for CD players with good DACs, is there still a benefit just using the tube processor on the grant and not the DAC?

how does the DAK compare to good quality CD player DACs if wanted to use a coax or optical cable?
