KR-2300 Cap's

I've got a noob question that may annoy you... sorry in advance. I have a new (to me) KR-2300 that I think sounds good only when I crank the bass up to 6 or 8. I'm listening to some OLD coral BX-300 that I do plan on recapping. And I'm hoping I can get the sound a little fuller without having to use tone control too much. I know what caps I need for the speakers... but I want to place an order for some replacement caps for the Kenwood while I'm at it.
I get the logic behind choosing and identifying the correct voltage and micro farad rating. I'm also clear on some quality brands I think. My problem lies in that I can't look at the cap and identify what type it is, polarized or not, film, aluminum, leak free or whatever. Anyone have reference for the ignorant?
Also I have a schematic, will that tell me? one more thing... anyone know where to get a service manual?
