I bought what I thought was a non working Kenwood KA 2000 as a project amplifier. I wanted to practice my soldering and circuit tracing before I jumped into a similar project with a working Sansui 555a.
Well the non working Kenwood KA 2000 I picked up online arrived today, and it is in perfect working order. No static on any pots and all the switches are snappy. It is wonderfully musical, though the low end is a tad muddy.
It has more than enough power for my little apartment. I think I will really enjoy it.
One question for the board. I found the schematic online as well as the users manual online. However both versions show 2 Aux inputs. Where there several production runs of this little guy because my unit has 2 phono inputs and only 1 aux input?
