AKAI AP-A2 Dump find. What vintage.

My buddy found this at the dump's NEW and USED shack. He gave it to me. The needle had been bent out of place, and the protruding piece of the cueing slider was missing. There are a few scuff marks on the dust cover. What year was this made, most likely. I think it sounds and looks great - for free.

Free is always a good score. Someone offered me a somewhat similar Pioneer PL-600 today for free too!

I'd say that was a late 1980's model. It fits the black plastic aesthetic of the time.

Her's actually. And yes I will take it when she gets a chance to bring it to work. It's nothing special but I will tune it up and pass it on.
