Faulty Yamaha RX-750 on sale for cheap

I found this faulty receiver on a second hand website. It has one channel that doesn't work anymore. I did a bid of €5, and he accepted that. After that I tried finding some more information about the receiver, but there isn't really much out there. That's why I'm posting this. Does anyone have experience with this receiver, and is it the €5 worth? If I repair it, do I have a nice receiver? Thanks :thmbsp:

Nice receiver. Well built, good quality parts and certainly a steal at the price if it can be fixed easily. The one problem with these units is that they used the sealed motorized selector pot that tend to become noisy, intermittent or erratic and is very difficult to clean or fix. NLA as well.

I love my rx-950, but I have the dirty selector problem, I came to the AK forum today specifically to find a fix....does not sound promising.

Great receiver. Yamahas almost all get dirty switch contacts!
