I'm heading to TAVES tomorrow AM... anyone else?

I really don't know why I'm going... I suppose it's for the eye candy and chance to buy some nice CDs/Records... Because it's impossible to actually to listen to anything. The crowds moving in and out of tight rooms... I suppose the headphone setups are always good

Still... I sure it'll be a good time... Had a good time last year. See you there.

I planning on going - probably late afternoon.

Came back from TAVES... Mostly meh... except the room with those giant red horns (anyone know what they were?) and the Quads on the second floor...

The rest was predictably exotic, good sounding and uber expensive.

The other thing to note was that tiny Elac desktop system: two satellites and a tiny sub - so impressive how full the sound it produced.

Oh yeah... and those concetrics (Cabasse) that cursing french dude was hawking - they also inspired curiosity.

I enjoyed the show, went in not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

I heard a few systems I really liked and ended up being pretty impressed by some of the new equipment available.

And yes, that Elac desktop system was real nice.

Go on... what impressed you? (knowing your set up - I'm curious...)
