Mike Dawes is a fairly new face in the acoustic guitar world and isn't as well known as he should be. I picked up his debut CD, "What Just Happened?" not too long ago and as a guitar player myself, fell in love with his playing and technique.

An incredible young talent (23 years old) who plays in the percussive style such as Andy McKee, Justin King, Michael Hedges, etc.. but has a style of his own.

You have found a real gem! I watched several of his videos,my favorite was him showing another guitarist how to play one of his songs. This guy is a very kind and gentle man.I love his vibe...(inspires me to practice again)Thank You! Since you gave me a gift...check out "Hurray for the Riff Raff" for some down home simplicity.Love Alynda Sequerra the singer.
