Greetings,
I am having a hard time finding the dates these units were made.
I have come into possession of an AVX-700, and a separates AVS & DSP 700 and am trying to figure which one to keep.
I haven't done a bake off, but the specs on SN appear to favor the AVX.
The AVS DSP combo sounds pretty good and has a nice user interface.
Any help appreciated.
Updated, after a few searches I found this site in German with a comprehensive database of Yamaha Audio gear and history
Vintage Hifi in Austria seems to have all the dates if you know the Euro model number.

DSP E300 = DSP A700 mfg 1990-1992 $766 euro
AV Pre amp matched to DSP A700
AVS 700 1990-1991 $920 euro
Surround Receiver
AVX 700 1990-1992 $613 euro
