That's exactly what I'll need and I could pair it with my Topping amp to drive a set of speakers for late night listening and NPR at lower levels I may just order one!

I found one a Tivoli at the thrift store about a month ago....it is the Henry Kloss Model One I think...sounds great but I think there may be a slight drift. It does not have the scratchy tuner syndrome others have complained about. But for $11 I cannot complain.
I am on the lookout for the Model 2 or one of those PAL radios.

We bought our daughter a Tivoli PAL when she was in college -- she's eight (ish) years out of college, married -- and it is still their everyday radio (ensconced in their kitchen).

That's around the going rate for that radio - Amazon's "list price" is pure BS.

I don't have any experience with that model, but I own and like other Sangean radios.
