MX-800 Amps in 5.1 Surround System
Tried the Yammys instead of the integrated amps in the Pioneer VSX TXH 21, noticeable improvement in clarity and accuracy. Decided to keep the set up so I racked it. New cables and cooling fans arriving in a day or two. Rebuilt T-1020 on top.
Those Yammys are a nice upgrade :thmbsp:

Hey guys,
I think this is my first post here on Yamaha. Just had to say, after about a 6 month stint with my awesome upgraded Khorns, I felt the urge to drive another from my fine collection. Wow, am I impressed! Firstly I never had them here in this location with the same output tube selection. What an absolutely fine speaker the NS1000s are. I should actually be posting this in the Speakers page.

Stan
Yes they are. I like the look of them on the higher stands.

my A-520 semi-retired and running Onkyo T-4040 tuner daily.

I happily own the following:
Yamaha CR-640
Yamaha CR-620
Yamaha CR-1020
Yamaha CR 2020
Yamaha RX-Z7

I think Classic Yamaha's are very elegantly beautiful!
Now all I need is a nice wooden vintage Yamaha turntable : )
They're all for sale except for the last 2 of course...

Welcome to the forum.

For sale offers are not permitted in threads outside bartertown.

Yamaha T-2, C-2x & B-2

Some of the best sounding Yamaha components ever IMHO...

My Yamaha GT 750 (lovin' it)

Complete with new "real" ebony veneer and 4 coats of ebony stain. No clear coat yet as I currently like it with its very mild satin sheen finish. The sound is sensational.

In regular light it looks very similar to the standard black ash finish. But when exposed to a stronger light it shows a subtle contrast of color in the wood grain. The polished platter makes it look like brand new.

Got a new custom dust cover made by a local acrylic fabrication company. No need for ugly hinges as it remains off whilst playing. Also fitted new aluminum shrouds to feet to replace the standard black plastic ones.

Modest Yammies. I run both run in pure direct mode. Effortless sound through the KEF 105s.

My Yamahas

Here is my pile 'o Yamaha... all purchased while in Japan in the '92 - '93 era...

From The Bottom Up:

RX-V870
CDC-625
KX-W602

The other 2 pieces in the pile are:
Radio Shack 15 Band EQ
Optimus LAB-2250 TT

Current running a pair of Bose 301 Series III's (also purchased in the '92 - '93 in Japan)

I need to find a place to take the RX-V870 for a tune up...

2 of Yamaha's best GT-2000 TT & NS-2000 speakers

Love Yamaha high end gear - so well made & does what it's expected to do.

The speakers & TT are very very special best I have ever owned
