this had a layer of residue on the back of the LH power amp pcb, cleaned it off worked for about 30s, them went into self destruct mode, now has 10v on the o\p and cant find why, any help appreciated, most transistors have been changed it was a ca-1000 II not a 1020
 
Not sure how you can measure 10v, is the relay kicking in? It shouldn't be with 10v dc coming out of it. 10v is huge, it should have blown the 5a fuses on the outputs- something doesn't add up.

If one of the rails is 10 volts lower than the other.

Ok well you need to verify the fusistors are good. Many times they go open, so do what you need to do to test- normally a meter set to continuity is what I use.
