FM Antenna and Flouresent Light Issue

I have multiple flourescent lights in my garage that cause bad static on the FM tuner. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it or how far I would typically have to re-locate the antenna? I am just using a cheap dipole right now but can run coax.... but how far do I likely need to go?

If I get the antenna above the lights will that help or is it a matter of distance from the flourescent balasts? Other options? I love my FM stations and this is a real hassle.... music or good lighting? LOL

Run a length of coax outside then add an rabbit ear antenna.
