Normal Kenwood ka5500 ?

I just need a little confirmation......the ka5500 speaker selector has 4 positions, OFF, A, B and A+B.

If I have speakers connected to either A or B.......I don't get any sound when I move the selector to A+B......is this normal?

Will A+B only work with speakers connected to both A and B outputs?

If the switch puts them in series they will not work ... not sure if the 5500 does that or not. Alot of amps put the speakers in parallel ...

They are in series in this amp, like they are in many Kenwood and Sony amplifiers, among others.

Ok.....thanks for clarifying that. I guess they are series..........I will take a look at the scat again. It is otherwise an awesome little amp. Like a mini ka9100!
