Got these speakers for very cheap ($4) and they are in good condition. They are heavy, well constructed and the grills need new velcro or magnet replacement. Sound is good but haven't had more than a half hour listening with them so can't say totally. I found one thread saying dana audio was from texas? Anyways..here are some pictures, more to come when I open them up.

(was late when I took these and didn't notice to straiten the grills out)

There was quite a buzz about them 20 years ago or so.

I have come to conclude after many attempts, that I do not like these speakers....I tried to like them but I cannot. Bass is quite and muddy, and the highs are tingy....they might be decent at providing a neutral sound however I don't listen to music for that but to enjoy it. Overall....would not buy another pair though they weren't much if I recall correctly. Woofers are Versa Tronics FQB16R-PP/8

I could tell they wouldn't be any good by the tweeter.. tweeters like that are never any good.

I remember when Speaker City USA and A&S speakers use to sell Versa Tronics drivers.
Versa Tronics also made Kevlar and carbon fiber cones and those look like their budget poly cones.

Ya was a bit surprised at the tweeter...one of the worst I've pulled out.

Knew it wasn't the best....but that was pitiful to see ha.

picked up a pair today.
sounds pretty dang good.
nice midrange punch.
