I saw some other posts on here about fixing broken CR-2040 so hopefully you guys can help me out.
I accidentally shorted the lamp circuit on my CR-2040 and it seems to have damaged some components. The short immediately blew fuse F902. After replacing the fuse, the overload light turned on and the fuse blew again half a second later.
Tracing through the wiring diagram, it seems that the short overloaded diode D912 which rectifies the lamp and protection circuit supply. The first short blew out the diode and it failed shorted.
Does anyone know what part I can use to replace D912? Are there any other downstream components I should test? I am worried that the protection circuit might be hosed too because of the blown diode. D910 in the protection circuit seems to have survived, but I have not checked the transistors.
Thanks.
