Hello all Yamaha freaks and lovers.

I recently bought a mint Yamaha KX 690 cassettedeck.
Beautifull. Like new.
After playing a litlle with it and comparing it with a TEAC V-1050, I new this is a stayer.
Love the sound the looks and it feels like it's built like forever. Allmost.
The last owner, the first one, play not more than 30 tapes on it. All Maxell XLll.

Now, I'm not that familiar with the older Yamaha line and I would like to find me a nice/super amp or reciever with the deck.
Offcourse I would like a turntable too but.....

Can anyone of you recomend me which one to look for and also why?
I need a phono connection and also 2 tape.
Please no surround or so and a sound good .
Maybe it will replace my Luxman A-371.

Thanks.

Silver face or black ?
Silver** CA-1010 or 2010 <----- Both Integrated's have " class A " mode.
and have 2 Tapes and excellent phono sections.
Black** A1 Integrated or M-4/C-4 seperates. A-1 and C-4 have excellent
phonos and 2 tapes.

Just googled a photo.

M-45/60/65/80/85 and a C-45/60/65/80/85 separates.:thmbsp:

Thanks for the reply,
I forgot to mention: Black.
I like silver more but my deck is black.

These types are they in the same series as my deck? It looks so different. I do have a pre and power amp black but I don't think they fit my deck.

I'm sure these are good amps but I can't see how they fit in the same series.
Some are from the early 80's. My cassette deck is built in 1998?

The amps I have are a C40 and a M40.
It doesn't have to be a seperate system.

I saw a RX750 which looks like a KX690 to me.
The price is very low so I expect this is bottom of the range.
Am I right?

rx750 is a av receiver.how about the rx-595?80wpc x2 at 8 ohm.phono section,2 tapes, reciever section.reviews I read on it were positive and is a black face just like your looking for.proably can be had for very little .

ok, but this is also a av amp/receiver.
I also found a AX870, This one is titanium but looks like it is the same line.
Am I right?
But, there must be a better version of this model, lets say a AX1080 or so?
Is there a Yamaha database with all the brochures?

Thanks for the links. Some helpfull information to me.
It looks to me the AX1090 is perfectly fitting with my deck. A litlle less would be nice too.
Here in Holland Yamaha was not one of the sold most audio components. Dutch allways loved Sony, Technics and Philips.
I allways like the looks of Yamaha and also the sound. The only thing I don't like are lines with the 'groove fronts'.
I'll concentrate on a nice black AX1090 or a AX890 for now but I'll try to find alternatives.
