First Project - Pioneer SX-1500TD - Please take a look

Just got a Pioneer SX-1500TD from craigslist $50. Have not hooked it up to anything yet, need to make some speaker plugs. I removed the covers and took a few pictures. Can you guys take a look and see if everything looks ok. It's a bit dusty but I do not see anything that looks bad.

Has anyone worked on an SX-1500TD before? Any pointers for a beginner? I'm waiting for the Dexoit to come in the mail. Intend to start with the POTS and slowly take it from there.

Yes cleaning all switches, pots, and the pre/main switch is first.
Then after safely powering up the unit you can take readings against the schematics.
