Shure N95ed and N97XE

It can be made to fit, but that requires grinding/cutting/melting away some of the M95's plastic mounting cap.

Once the interfering plastic is out of the way, the N97xE stylus will fit and work properly-- the cartridge will sound like an M97xE.

Due to the terrifying QC standards of Shure, sadly from long time now, IMHO it's better to get a Jico stylus!!

Yes, and I'm sneakily guessing muimui was hoping that a transplant would "cure" the audiophiliac N97xE sound that many people don't care for, in which case I can assure him that it won't. There are Shure bodies that will at least partly solve that perceived problem, but the M95 body isn't one of them.

If you're looking for a budget stylus, the EVG brand replacement (made by JICO) for the M95 series sounds very good. It should cost about $15 from several eBay sellers.

The M95 stylus will fit on a M97xE. I have a JICO SAS M95 stylus that I use on my M97xE. I bought it before JICO made one for the M97xE.
