Is this an elliptical stylus?

I am looking to buy a cheap elliptical stylus for my AT3482p cartridge in order to try and reduce surface noise as the elliptical stylus on my shure m75 tracking at the same weight as the audiotechnica doesn't pick up as much surface noise.

So am I wrong in assuming that a elliptical will help reduce surface noise and is this needle an elliptical as the title for it says 213-D6 (conical) where as the description says it has an elliptical tip.

My guess is that it's almost certainly not. Search eBay for a 213-DE and read, as you have, the listing carefully.. You'll know what you're getting then and you can get one for maybe $2.00 more than the conical you found.

I think this an elliptical as it has 213-DE in the title and I found a similar one in the same poop orange color.

It is. If you want white (and a better price), go to V-M Audio Enthusiasts and search for a 4213-DE.
