Hey guys...

Just picked up a nib one of these off of ebay. It's not working, properly and I feel it's a grounding/voltage issue. It spins fine and operates fine in terms of playback of records. But it's generating very low end frequency hum, so that's playback is entirely inaudible.

There is an opening for a voltage switch underneath the platter. However, there is NO switch there. It's just empty space.

Do you guys know of an adapter or something that would resolve this problem?

Thanks so much as always.

Ken

Some external preamps have a low rumble switch for turntables that have a low frequency rumble. It sounds to me like your turntable just needs a cleaning and some oil. The old lubrication tends to get gummy after some years of storage... even if it is "new in box".
