Hello all, I'm looking into building a center channel to match RS3-B mains and RS5-B surrounds to complete a 5.1 setup. I want to keep it as close to a RS3-B as possible while reducing the size to make it more manageable under a TV. So my thought is to use 8" woofers from a RS1-B that are available on the auction site. Original crossovers, polydome mid and emit tweeter are also available there.
The cabinet would be 3/4 inch MDF, sealed, approx 1.5 cub feet, stuffed with poly fill. Mid/high centered stacked vertically or maybe offset slightly with the woofers on either side.
What do you guys think? Blasphemy or good idea?
