Anybody see this seller who, until today, had some killer Sansui pieces listed (AU-X1, CA-3000, BA-3000, TU-9900 etc.)? He had zero % feedback and negative responses...looked pretty bad. Located in Kennesaw, GA. Now an unlisted user...anyone familiar? ....wierd situation.

Killer Sansui on eBay Now Gone

I asked about some of these items through eBay and got 2 replies but they came to my home eMail account and did not appear as messages in my eBay account which I thought strange. He was also listing Onkyo gear for $2500 but could only offer the standard $200 PayPal coverage. The pictures looked authentic, however, and who would make up an AU D907 listing? His listing prompted me to attempt to contact eBay/Paypal to see if they would supply full coverage if I used PayPal credit since you would have to be nuts to trust a seller with his scant record without some coverage. Still no answer from them. Does anyone know if they do provide this coverage or if they offer PayPal and you've won and go to pay whether PayPal can not offer PayPal credit but just your regular credit line? All the items listed in the buy/sell feedback were probably $40 or less. Starting bids were too high except for the TU 9900 + BA3000 + CA3000 which were, I think, too low at $800, given the other prices. I'd love to know the story behind all this but I don't think that we'll ever find out. I did save his eMail address, if you are interested.

From all of what you say all the way to him now being an "unlisted" user, it doesn't sound so much like a hijacked account as much as an account that was started from scratch for the purpose of scamming.

Seems to happen a lot lately.

There was so much desirable gear though and it the photo's "looked" authentic (not to say he could have copied them from the web...)?!?!
