Has anyone seen this tube amp?

It came in a cardboard box labelled "Nikko" and it lookes like a 20wpc integrated receiver. Somebody installed Sprague capacitors and the trannys are obviously made by Triad, but is this a legitamate component or some witch's brew madness?

From what I can tell, there is no power transformer, but two output transformers, as if it's two monoblocks wired together. The left channel has some GE and RCA tubes, the right channel has a couple Tung-Sols. It looks like each channel uses a 6AS7G as a rectifier... hold on...

Yep, I looked it up, the 6AS7G can be used as a rectifier, but is not recommended.

Well, it isn't a Nikko STA-8010 amp, that's for sure. I don't think Nikko ever made tube gear. So the box is just a box, that's all. The amp it held was a SS 1970's or 1980's model import.

As to the rest, I have no idea.

I can't lable a DIY job madness most of the time. It is hard to tell how it is strung together from the pix. The output Iron looks good. How does it sound?

Although that appears to be a 'Jim-Bobs' special dual monobloc design, it could be a tube amp component from an old movie theater; or something.
