Fisher Console Found

Hi All,

I'm a definite newb when it comes to this stuff, but when I purchased a new home recently the old owner left a rather large Fisher Console behind. The console has a paper attached stating its a Fisher A-69 and the front is labeled Heritage Series, while the radio states its an Ambassador Fisher Chasis 690-T and the turntable is a Garrard.

Its in pretty decent shape and still functions, actually used it to listen to a football game while we moved in. Anyways, does anybody know if this is worth anything, is something I should hang on to, etc, etc?

Thanks for all the help!

Probably not as much as one wound think ... if one wants a '60s vintage console, Fisher is one of the ones to have ... but they take up a lot of room ... in most cases I would guess that one would be lucky to get $100 for such a model.

Thanks for the great link there. It sure does take up a lot of room...and weighs a ton, I could barely move it across the room. Lets see if I can find a good place for this thing...

Very Nice! I want one bad! Those amps have got a great reputation. you sure are lucky.

Nice brochure. Looked up the system and see it was a President I gave my folks. The Ampex 1250 were a horror story to keep running. It had been a demo that after being discontinued the Cramer President took home for a couple of years and then brought to the store where I picked it up for next to nothing in the used section.
