Realistic Optimus 400

Should I pick up a pair of these at the local thrift for $25? Need foam on the woofs and mids but the cabs don't look too bad. Can't find much info on them. Any thoughts?

I have RS Optimus T-300's and I like them a lot. I can't say I know much about your 400's though. Maybe Ultra-Hog will post what he knows (I think he has every catalog Radio Shack ever put out )

I feel that they are worth refurbishing. $25 is a cheap price as long as the cabinets are in good shape.

An old neighbor of mine had four of em hooked up to an SX-1080. He loved them and I thought they did sound pretty good...

I've got a pair of Optimus 400, and recently refoamed the woofers.
Price for foam edge and glue for the two woofers: €36, including shipment costs.
