I have found that 15", 8 ohm woofers are hard to come by relatively speaking. I had to find some since I had borrowed my friend's 15" Pyles about a year ago. After finally seing a set of 4 plus two bass cabs on CL, I responded and setup a meeting. The seller was a chap from the U.K. who went to went out of his way to test all of them out and give me (what I assume to be) a decent deal. I drove up last night to a real nice area of Orlando - Heathrow - and came home with the following used equipment for $160:
2 - 15" McKenzie woofers, rated at 250 watts
1 - 15" Celestion woofer - the basket must be cast iron - heavy!
1 - 15" woofer - non-descript as I didn't see a logo on it last night
2 - nice custom cabs for 12 inch woofers, with beatup drivers
All of the surrounds and cones are in great shape.
He said he did the club scene as a DJ back in the U.K. and he was headed back there soon. He told me that McKenzie woofers were heavily used back then in the clubs. It was a very pleasant transaction, and he has already emailed me to confirm this from his point of view
I don't know much about what I picked up, but I'm stoked!
