This pair I have only had about 5 years, but a relative had some in about 1970 and I was quite impressed.
They are pretty small about 0.5 cu ft, so just a bit bigger than LS3/5a.
The elliptical is about 10"x6" so quite a big speaker for the size of the cabinet. Bass is not incredibly deep, but bass has very good attack, mid has incredible detail and the tweeters are the famous Celestion HF1300 and Coles (then STC) 40001G supertweeter that are used in Spendor BC1 etc.
This are on at the moment in preferance to my 15 Ohm Chartwell LS3/5a

It wasn't very hard to recognize and I'll tell you why.A long,long time ago in the early 70's I did a repair job on a friend's DM1.The woofer had started making scraping noises,but in lack of a proper replacement temporarily I had to use a swedish oval Sinus driver instead,but my friend was so happy with it that it stayed.At the same time I draw the crossover schematic.It's uploaded here:

Yes those EMI units are not meant to take much power, they don't need to really as they are very efficient.
Now, your diagram of the DM1 crossover is the only I have ever seen. Even B&W did not have a diagram.
Incidentally, I have diags for DM2, DM2a, DM3, DM4 if anyone needs them.

Damn, I actually knew this one. 
That EMI woofer was also used in the very few EMI badged models. The LE2 and coffin-sized LE4 used them in a much bigger cabinet which in my opinion made them sound boomy. The voice coils bottom out fairly easily, so watch out...
Those are nice speakers though - I actually really like the not too overpowering LF.
